Colonel (AAC) Linda Galloway

Assistant Commander AAC

Linda Galloway is currently a Principal at Balmoral State High School and has over 15 years of leadership experience in the Queensland education sector.  This is complemented by a raft of educational qualifications including a Masters of Business Administration and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Linda has a passion for volunteering for the Australian Army Cadet (AAC) program for over 25 years and has been involved with the Australian Army Cadets since 1997 when she started with the 14 Regional Cadet Unit, Blackwater.  Linda was the Officer Commanding of the unit until 2012, until she was appointed at the Staff Officer Grade 2 Training for North Queensland Brigade.  She was awarded the Australia Day Medallion for her services to the Australian Army Cadets in 2017.  In 2018, Linda was successful in gaining the position of Assistant Commander South Queensland at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (AAC).

She firmly believes that the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Cadets is the premier youth development organisation and one which develops the youth of Australia to become better citizens and help achieve their own goals and ambitions. Specifically, Linda’s commitment for the AAC has been demonstrated over the years at a unit, brigade and national level.
